detours to avoid all this mess

Heading East on the Gardiner Expressway you will need to exit at Jarvis and drive east.  Everyone will be doing the same thing so just get in line and follow the car ahead of you.

Trying to go West on the Gardiner from the East end of Toronto?  Drive along Lakeshore and then turn left, then go south until you see water and turn around.  Do NOT keep driving if you see water.  If your car is suddenly very wet you have gone way too far.  Maybe call a tow truck?

If all else fails I suggest you stay home.  After all, we're still in the midst of a pandemic and this is no time to be out on a highway driving.   I hear Netflix has some great shows.  Maybe watch the Jays?  I hear they're doing well this year.
